TRUCKER HATS
Live the brand. The original Trucker Hat came about in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s in rural America. At one time called “Feed Hats” or “Gimme Hats”, they began as a promotional giveaway from U.S. Feed and Farming Supply companies to farmers, truck drivers, and other rural workers. A blue collar business card, if you will, the tall crown was an ideal location for Ag and farm equipment logos, useful to rural America. As with most things of true value, form followed function in the trucker hat as well.
The stiff brim, tall foam front, and breathable mesh back meant that the cap not only protected the wearer from heat, dust, and sun, but absorbed sweat too. The trucker hat, worn by farmers, ranchers, and truckers, soon became part of the uniform of rural workers all over the USA and an iconic symbol of Americana.
